A Montreal native, Alex earned his pharmacy degree from the University of Montreal and an MBA from Concordia University. From his early days at Pharmaprix® to senior roles at industry giants like Novartis® and Eli Lilly®, Alex’s career has been built on one core value: putting patients first.
After managing two Shoppers Drug Mart locations, Alex realized the corporate model wasn’t designed for true patient care. That’s why he launched MisterPharmacist™—an independent pharmacy where your health and time are top priorities.

Raised in Montreal, Alex earned his pharmacy degree from the University of Montreal and later completed an MBA at Concordia University. His career began as a community pharmacist in the Montreal area with Pharmaprix®️, where he honed his commitment to patient care.
Meet Alex Mihaila
Driven by a passion for innovation, Alex transitioned into roles in sales, marketing, regulatory affairs, medical information, government affairs, and pricing within the pharmaceutical industry with companies like Novartis®️ and Eli Lilly®️. He then returned to his community pharmacy roots, managing and operating two Shoppers Drug Mart locations in Rexdale and Queens Quay. Alex clarifies that, contrary to what many believe, Shoppers Drug Mart stores have not been franchises for over two decades—a unique insight gained from his extensive experience there and the reason why he decided that independent pharmacy was the only real choice for true patient care.
